This journey takes you through landscapes rich in history, where ancient civilizations, colonial art, and traditional Andean life come together away from the crowds.
The South Valley is a perfect blend of archaeology, culture, and local traditions. From sophisticated pre-Inca engineering to one of the most beautiful colonial churches in the region, this tour offers a deeper and more intimate perspective of Cusco’s cultural heritage.
Itinerary
Itinerary
- Your tour begins with hotel pick-up in Cusco, followed by a comfortable drive to the South Valley. As you leave the city behind, you will enjoy scenic views of the Andean countryside, including traditional villages and agricultural landscapes.

- Next, you will visit Pikillacta, a large pre-Inca city built by the Wari culture. Here, you will walk through ancient streets, stone enclosures, and urban layouts that reflect one of the earliest planned cities in the Andes.
- The final stop is Andahuaylillas, a charming colonial town home to the famous Church of San Pedro, often referred to as the “Sistine Chapel of America.” Inside, you will admire stunning murals, gold-leaf decorations, and intricate artwork that showcase a unique fusion of indigenous and Spanish influences.
