- Your tour begins with hotel pick-up in Cusco, followed by a scenic drive through the Sacred Valley. Along the way, you will enjoy panoramic views of mountains, valleys, and traditional Andean villages.
- The first stop is Moray, an impressive archaeological site composed of circular terraces built into natural depressions in the land. Your guide will explain the theories behind its use as an agricultural experimentation center, where the Incas adapted crops to different microclimates.
- After exploring Moray, the journey continues to the town of Maras and its famous salt mines. Here, you will witness thousands of small salt pools carved into the mountainside, fed by a natural saline spring. Local families have been harvesting salt using traditional methods since pre-Inca times, creating a unique and visually striking landscape.
- You will have time to walk along designated paths, take photographs, and learn about the salt extraction process and its cultural importance.
- After the visit, you will return to Cusco and be dropped off near your hotel or in the city center.
